Tessera is a music visualizer that rebuilds your album cover as a grid of square tiles set into a dark grout bed over a blurred backdrop. Every kick sends a ripple sweeping outward from the center of the mosaic: tiles on the crest scale up, brighten, and catch a color-cycling neon edge, while hi-hats add a fine shimmer across the grid. On the biggest hits, a soft pink bloom flares over the whole mosaic. Your artwork is literally played as light.

A now-playing lockup anchors the lower frame, with eyebrow, title, artist, and a live progress bar, so the piece reads like a release, not a screensaver. Between hits the tiles settle into a slow ambient wave, keeping quiet passages alive without faking energy.

Kick-driven ripples

Kicks launch rings that travel from the mosaic's center to its edges: tiles lift, whiten, and take a hue-cycling neon rim as the crest passes. Hi-hats sprinkle a counter-shimmer on top.

Artwork as the medium

The mosaic IS your cover. Every tile is a slice of the artwork, and the blurred backdrop is drawn from it too. The whole frame is built from your release.
