Release-ready, in one click.

Mastering turns a finished song into a release-ready master in one click. Upload the song, or pick it from your LimePulse library: it is listened to once and comes back louder, clearer and balanced. Pick an Intensity and an EQ option to taste, compare it with the original, then download the master or use it in a video.

No software needed. Everything runs in your browser.

For artists, producers and labels with a finished mix and a release coming up, who want the song to hold its own next to everything else on the playlist without learning to master it themselves.

What you get

How to master a song

  1. Add the finished song. Upload the final mix of your song, or pick one already in your LimePulse library.
  2. Hear it mastered. The song is listened to once and comes back louder, clearer and balanced.
  3. Set it to taste. Pick an Intensity, from Low to High, and an EQ option, from Brighter to Warmer, if you want to; every change is heard at once. Switch between Original and Mastered, with Match level on, to hear exactly what changed.
  4. Master the whole song. Choose a WAV or an MP3, and the whole song is mastered and downloads by itself. It waits in your library too, ready for a Music Visualizer, Compose or Karaoke project to make its video.

Everything a finished song needs

One click, and it is mastered. Upload the finished song, or pick one already in your LimePulse library. It is listened to once and comes back louder, clearer and balanced, with nothing to set up first.

Intensity, from Low to High. Intensity sets how far the master goes. High is the loudest and boldest, Low the lightest touch, and Medium, where the console starts, sits between them. Every change is heard at once, without stopping the song.

EQ options, from Brighter to Warmer. Bright and Brighter make the top end crisper, Warm and Warmer soften it for a rounder sound, and Neutral, where the console starts, sits in the middle. Each one is ready to hear the moment you pick it.

Hear the master, not the volume. Flip between Original and Mastered while the song plays. Turn on Match level and both play at the same loudness, so the master never wins just by being louder.

Download it, or use it in a video. Choose a WAV at 24-bit, 48 kHz, a WAV at 16-bit, 44.1 kHz or an MP3 at 320 kbps, and the master downloads by itself as soon as it is made. It is saved in your library too, ready for a Music Visualizer, Compose or Karaoke project.

Works with

Music Visualizer: Pick the master from your library and make a video that moves with it.

Compose: Build your own frame and a lyric video around the mastered song.

Karaoke: Turn the master into a sing-along video, every word lit as it is sung.

Frequently asked questions

What is mastering?

The last step before a song is released. A finished mix is made louder, clearer and balanced, so it sounds at home next to the other songs on a playlist, on headphones, in a car or on a club system.

How do I master a song with LimePulse?

Upload the finished song, or pick it from your LimePulse library, and hear it mastered. Pick an Intensity and an EQ option if you want to, compare it with the original, then master the whole song and download it as a WAV or an MP3.

Which Intensity should I pick?

Start on Medium, where the console opens, and listen. High is the loudest and boldest; Low is the lightest touch, for songs that need room to breathe. Turn on Match level while you compare, so loudness alone does not make the choice for you.

Why compare at matched loudness?

Because louder almost always sounds better at first, even when it is not. With Match level on, Original and Mastered play at the same loudness when you switch between them, so what you hear is the difference the master makes, not a change in volume.

Can I change how it sounds?

Yes. Intensity sets how far the master goes, from Low to High, and the EQ options set its tone, from Brighter to Warmer. The console starts on Medium and Neutral, so changing either is up to you, and every change is heard at once.

What files do I get?

A WAV at 24-bit, 48 kHz. If you need them, a WAV at 16-bit, 44.1 kHz and an MP3 at 320 kbps are there too.

Can I use the master in a video?

Yes. The master is saved in your library, so a Music Visualizer, Compose or Karaoke project can use it with no file to download and upload again. Use in a video, beside Download, opens a new project.

Will mastering fix my mix?

Mastering finishes a mix; it does not rebuild one, so it works best on a mix you are already happy with. A part that is far too loud or too quiet is best fixed in the mix first.
