Any song, without its vocals.

Vocal Remover turns a finished song into two tracks: the vocals on their own and the instrumental. Upload the song, or pick it from your LimePulse library, hear a 30-second preview in LYRA, VEGA, ORION and NOVA, keep the one your ears prefer, then download the whole song as WAV 24-bit or MP3 320 kbps.

No software needed. Everything runs in your browser.

For singers and rappers who want the music to perform over, for producers and DJs who need the acapella for a remix or an edit, and for anyone getting a cover or a karaoke night ready.

What you get

How to remove the vocals from a song

  1. Add the song. Upload an MP3 or WAV of 30 seconds to 10 minutes, up to 200 MB, or pick a song already in your LimePulse library.
  2. Hear the previews. A 30-second preview of the song is made in LYRA, VEGA, ORION and NOVA, and the desk shows how far it has got. Light each lamp in turn and listen.
  3. Keep the one you like. Each model separates a little differently, so keep the one your ears prefer. Mute the vocals to hear the instrumental, solo them to hear the acapella, or set the two faders to taste.
  4. Download. Choose WAV or MP3 and download the vocals, the instrumental, or both in one ZIP. The whole song is made in the model you picked, and the download starts as soon as it is ready.

Two tracks from every song

The instrumental, to sing or rap over. The whole song with the vocals taken out: the beat, the band and everything else, ready for a cover, a verse of your own, a rehearsal or a karaoke night.

The acapella, for remixes and edits. The vocals on their own, the full length of the song, so they line up with the original in any session. Build a remix, a mashup or a DJ edit around them.

LYRA, VEGA, ORION and NOVA. Hear a 30-second preview of your song in each one. Each model separates a little differently, so light the lamps in turn and keep the one your ears prefer. The preview switches at the same moment, playing or paused as it was.

A mixing desk to hear them on. Both tracks play together on a mixing desk, each with a fader, a level meter, Solo and Mute. Mute the vocals to hear the instrumental, solo them to hear the acapella, and every change is heard at once.

WAV 24-bit or MP3 320 kbps. Download the whole song's vocals or instrumental as a WAV at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz, or as an MP3 at 320 kbps, in the model you picked. Download both and they arrive together in one ZIP named after the song.

The vocals from one lamp, the instrumental from another. Under EXPORT MODELS, pick a lamp for the VOCALS and one for the INSTRUMENTAL. Every download uses them, and each file's name says its lamp, for example Midnight - Vocals (LYRA).wav.

One plan for every studio. Hear the previews of up to 3 songs before you choose a plan, 1 until your email is confirmed. Downloads come with the Creator plan, $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, the same plan that covers every LimePulse studio.

Works with

Karaoke: Make a sing-along video of the song: the instrumental plays and every word lights up as it is sung.

Mastering: Master a finished song in one click: louder, clearer and balanced.

Frequently asked questions

What does Vocal Remover do?

It turns a finished song into two tracks: the vocals on their own, often called the acapella, and the instrumental, which is everything except the vocals.

How do I remove the vocals from a song?

Open Vocal Remover and upload the song as an MP3 or WAV, or pick it from your LimePulse library. Hear its 30-second preview in LYRA, VEGA, ORION and NOVA on the mixing desk, keep the one you like best, then download the vocals, the instrumental, or both.

What are LYRA, VEGA, ORION and NOVA?

The models you choose between on the desk, one lamp each. Each model separates a little differently, so pick the one your ears prefer. Light another lamp and the preview switches at the same moment.

Can I hear it before I download?

Yes. Every song gets a 30-second preview in LYRA, VEGA, ORION and NOVA, played on the desk with a fader, Solo and Mute for each track. The download is the whole song, in the model whose lamp is lit under EXPORT MODELS.

What files do I get?

The vocals and the instrumental, each as a WAV at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz, or as an MP3 at 320 kbps. Download one track at a time, or both at once in a ZIP named after the song.

Do I need a plan?

Not to listen. Signed in, you can hear the 30-second previews of up to 3 songs, or 1 until you confirm your email. Downloading needs the Creator plan, $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, which covers every studio.

How long can the song be?

Between 30 seconds and 10 minutes, as an MP3 or WAV up to 200 MB. Both tracks you download run the full length of the song.

Can I make a karaoke video with the song?

Yes, in Karaoke. A song you add to Vocal Remover is already in your LimePulse library, so in Karaoke you pick it under From library, with nothing to upload again. It plays without its vocals, and every word lights up as it is sung.

Can I use any song?

You can take the vocals out of any song you upload. Using the tracks is a question of rights: a song belongs to the people who wrote and recorded it. Release covers, remixes and edits made with these tracks only of your own songs, of songs you have licensed, or of songs whose owners allow it.
