Frequently asked questions

The questions people ask most: what it costs, whether there is a watermark, what you can upload, who owns the videos, and whether it works on your machine.

About the product

What is LimePulse?

Browser-based software that turns music, podcasts and artwork into video: music visualizers, Spotify Canvas loops, motion artwork for Apple Music, video podcasts and live visuals. See what LimePulse is.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in a browser and renders on our machines, so an old laptop can still produce a 4K file.

Do I need video editing experience?

No. There is no timeline and no keyframes. You pick a design or arrange a scene, and the audio drives the motion.

Does it work on a phone?

The studios need a real screen and a pointer, so they are built for a laptop or desktop. Your library and your account work fine on a phone.

Cost and licensing

How much does it cost?

$9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, covering all seven studios with unlimited renders. See plans and pricing.

Is there a free version?

Everything is free except downloading the finished file. You can build, preview and save without a card.

Is there a watermark?

No. Every render a subscriber makes is clean and full resolution.

Can I use the videos commercially?

Yes, including on monetised channels. The video is yours. The rights to the music in it are whatever they already were.

Making videos

What audio files can I upload?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC and OGG. See uploading music and artwork.

How many templates are there?

42 templates in the Music Visualizer, plus 16 visualizer looks and 15 props in Compose, the visualizer builder.

Can I make a vertical video for TikTok or Reels?

Yes. Switch the format and render again; the layout reflows rather than cropping. See vertical video specs.

Does the preview match the finished video?

Yes. The preview replays the exact per-frame audio analysis the renderer uses, so the motion lands on the same frames.

Can I make a lyric video?

Yes, by tapping the words in time or letting AI sync them, in any language. See lyric videos.

Rendering

How long does a render take?

Usually a few minutes for a song. It runs on our machines, so you can close the tab.

How many videos can I render?

As many as you like. Renders are unlimited.

What resolution do videos export at?

3840 x 2160 at 60 frames a second for landscape, and the matching sizes for vertical and square. See export formats and sizes.
