An image layer takes any picture you upload: a logo, a label mark, a photo, a second piece of artwork.

Keeping a transparent logo transparent

Upload a PNG with transparency and it stays transparent all the way through to the render. A JPEG cannot hold transparency, so a logo saved as a JPEG arrives with a white box around it. That is the single most common reason a logo looks wrong.

• Corner radius, for rounding a square photo
• Shadow, for lifting an image off the background
• Reflection, for the glossy look under artwork
• Opacity, for a subtle watermark rather than a loud one

Can I remove the background from a photo?

Yes, there is a background remover built in, which is most useful for putting a person or an object on a scene without a rectangle around them.
